While I was traveling between pune and chennai, few thoughts were flowing in my mind. Here it goes… We were traveling at around 36,000 ft and we just rely on the machines designed by a human. Those machines were supposed to work with zero error. Any minute glitch will cause the devastation. I was just wondering how can anyone design such machines with utmost perfection. If it is a train, car, or bus…nothing will happen and the vehicle comes to halt. But imagine what will happen to a flight which is traveling at an altitude of thousands of feets. I guess designing zero error machines  will be taught in aeronautical engineering course . Thats really fantastic to learn abt them. When I am discussing with my friends, the thing that came up is that each flight will be operated by two machines to make it redundant. But I still wonder how the fail over takes when one machine fails. How are the uncertain things will be taken care by the pilot while traveling is still a mystery to me. Hopefully I will catch a guy who has roots in it and get more information regarding it.  I wish I would have been a pilot to experience or an engineer to design those kind of machines.

This post I was supposed to write on Father’s day but got delayed till today. I have seen much things happening on TV etc on mothers day but could not notice them on father’s day. I dunno whether I missed them or it has really happened. COming to point…I want to write a little about my father here. I don’t have an opportunity to  express my regards for bringing me to the state whatever I am in today.  He is very disciplined (which is inherited from my grandfather) and perfect in doing things. I can say he is the best manager of my family. Also he has lot of sense of humor which I inherited the most from him. Me and my sister were so scared of my father. I f my mother asks us to do something we used to take it casually, but if father says and we dont do it, we cannot imagine the repercussions. He started his job with salary of Rs. 250 a month. Can you believe it? Yes it is the truth. Later he got married and by the time my parents has me his salary was still less than thousand. I cannot imagine how he managed his parents, me and my mother with that little amount. After working for more than 25 years in the same company his salary is less than quarter of what I am getting. With that he could made his two children study and met all the expenses we require and finally he helped us in safely reaching the shore. After working for one year, I felt so much bored and I cannot imagine how I have to carryon working till so many years from now.  Father, how did u manage to work for 27 years and still working??

He has control over every rupee he is spending, he knows how to effectively spend the money. Even now if i give money and asked him to spend, he wont to do it because he got habituated to whatever he is doing since 3 decades. I say to him that his life is spend 3/4th working hard and atleast enjoy your days from now. He is not in a position to listen and carries on with his own beliefs.  So much to say about him but I got to go now and will write later by taking right opportunity. I express my heartfelt thanks for him thru this blog on father’s day for being my father.

Yes, its to time to move on when things really dont work for you. At least those things supposed to happen if not the things you desire. If your damn waiting for the thing to happen and if it tests your patience? what to do? . Sometimes I feel it is the stupidity of me in handling the things. What I feel is philosophy is very nice to listen and help us getting up if you are fallen. But the fact is you cannot follow the same philosophy when you are put under test to the same situation. Sometimes I suspect whether philosophy has real meaning to it if it is not implemented properly. Forgetting about the philosophy for a while now, lets discuss about moving on. If you program your mind to something and the input is in such a fashion that it cannot be handled, just imagine what happens to a software program..it simply dumps. Similar thing happens to our mind if programmed. But how to program the mind in such a fashion that every situation is handled in switch case. We should make sure there shuld not be any while or for loops which makes you busy but end up doing nothing. if presence of them is inevitable dont forget to put a break statement till the program moves smoothly to exit. The policy I am following is to divert mind in different directions. Call a friend, chat with a friend…read some article, watch some pics. When I do these things literally I don’t feel that I am frustrated. When I tell my frustration or disappointment to someone..i fell relaxed after sometime. If I keep it to myself it gets more inside and starts hurting. No other way … its time to move.

It seems that people working at google has no work except innovation. What are the products they are coming up with? Everyday I an finding one or the other google product which escaped my attention. I just came across Google health which is a huge repository of human diseases. Go there and you will find all the details about the disease. They have given facility to upload your medical reports and the idea is to keep your fragmented health records centralized. Its no wonder to say that google is a web leader now. They are doing what all can be done on the web. They have a business crawler too which is occupying the whole web industry. Recently they have come up with idea where we can integrate your personal web page with social networking. They have done everything for the user. We just need to configure and make it working. It is sure that user experience is going to be fantastic soon with google’s innovative stuff. The products that they are recently coming up with are for the users who have a limited internet connectivity. I mean user will be connected internet for few minutes. Assuming this, they are coming up with the solutions which a user can work even offline similar to an online user. One of them is google gears.  They want to provide a browser integrated office tools where a user can work even there is no internet connectivity. He will upload whenever he connects to the internet for a short while. These are my personal opinions and understanding on whatever I read. Just keep watching what google will launch in coming days. It going to be fantastic in future. Keep an eye….

Past 45 days, evenings were spent by watching IPL matches. By the time I though it was too much of cricket I got used to it. But yesterday was the closing ceremony and am damn sure I will feel bored after going home. It was a fantastic business idea which fetched them crores. I have read in somewhere that the business strategy and IPL is going be taught in one of the top business schools. Not only the IPL, the ads which comes between overs are too creative. Vodafone doggy’s ad is the one I liked the most. Even this ad invoked controversies where animal protection society has filed a case saying that dog has been tortured. There were so many creative ads which I dont remember at the moment, but captured attention even they were played for few seconds between those nerve breaking overs. IPL proved so many points about the planning, the play and the execution. Some teams whose players are individually strong but failed as a team. Some teams who has started like a bang ended up losing even without reaching semi finals. Some teams whose players are not individually the best but as a team they proved something. Even though lot of cricket involved in IPL there exists business side as an undercurrent. It involves controversies too starting from bhajji slapping to vijay malya’s furore to cheer leaders presence on the ground. Half of the Hollywood that has involved in IPL made  it much more attractive. Finally..kisi ko man of the match mila, kisi ko heroine mila..phir appko kya mila…

Its kind of scary to see myself growing 5kgs per year. The only organ that I cannot control in my body is tongue which makes me eat more and more. With the kind of paneer, cheese, pizza stuff I am eating, fat started accumulating and the paunch started protruding. I have decided sometimes to avoid cheese and fat stuff but I can say it persists only for few hours. My weakness is that I cannot sacrifice my food for any other reason. Even from childhood I have this tongue weakness. At my home its common that whoever are angry dont take food. When my mom fights with dad, she wont take food nor my father. When my father scolds my sister , she wont take food. But me a special person from a different planet dont care for any reason. If my father scolds me or beats me I used to consume more food. So no matter what, the only thing I cannot sacrifice is food. Finally its causing problem and making me to think to put my expanding body in to control.

So finally decided to go for a jog. Me and my room mate started and went for a week and stopped. Again I started with my colleague , went for a week and stopped. The problem with me is ….I inspire instantly and cannot stand with it later. Proper implementation lacks. Now I have decided again to go and keep going till 2 weeks. On the first day I have checked my weight before running on tread mill. It showed 70. Then I ran on the tread mill for 30 mins and checked my weight , it showed 71. How funny it was? My work out I am doing now at gym is to prevent my body to grow. So that I can eat as usual without worrying about my body.

Emotional quotient is little high for Indians. We will get emotionally attached easily to any thing in the world. Personally I feel being emotional to everything causes little damage. My room mate says…Indians gets attached emotionally very quickly  even to their pet dogs, cars.  They feel emotional or sometimes sentimental in selling their old car or when they lose their pet dog. I dont say one should not be emotional but should not be carried away with that.  By emotionally attached to something, You feel sad, disappointed when that ’something’ leaves you. Love anything but dont get too close to something that makes you feel unhappy without it. Basically its just your state of mind that plays this. After all the ultimate goal of everyone’s life is to be happy every moment. Why to accept things that makes you unhappy. We are the only passenger for our life journey. Nobody shares our destination either.  There is no point in being emotionally attached to someone or something. I wont prevent you if you are happy by being emotionally attached. But if not, dont lose single moment by not being happy.

Personally I am very sensitive guy and I used to attach to everyone whoever comes in my life and to things whatever I buy. I used to feel disappointed when they leave me and preventing the situation to happen. But later after so many such things happening in life I became observant and derived that emotional attachment is causing some amount of damage to me.  So why should I have a mindset that is making me unhappy. I decided to change as soon as I observed people who are happy without it. So love but not attach and be inseparable. Ultimately we are our saviors of our very own single life. This is not selfishness but self respect. Still some qualities come by birth and perish by death,  but who knows give it a try!!

The most happening place I am talking about is neither in US nor in UK but just the locality I am staying in pune. Its called koregaon park. This name just excites people who are staying in pune. Everybody would love to visit this place on week ends especially.  I am damn sure the any visitor might feel like he is in a foreign country. The reason is that most of the foreign population live in this locality ( paying fat rents which are almost triple the standard rates). One reason for this is there is a OSHO ashram in lane 1 for which many foreigners are attracted. There are two foreign families living right down to us and two  foreign girls right opposite. I sometimes wonder where I am in.  Its a no surprise that I see everyday 5 to 6 BMW’s, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche. The houses are so beautiful which the minimum cost starts in crores. Even a flat in apartment costs in crores. When I was new to this locality I have gone crazy by seeing people around on week ends. You can find hot chicks ever in this place. I can bet on this.  Everything looks so rich and so attractive. Pubs, restaurants makes this place much more cheerful. The place is full of traffic event at 12 in the night. Every week end makes me mad .  Every other person in the place (except my roommates and me) will be accompanied with their partner. Sometimes I feel shy walking on the road alone missing my better half on my side.   This place makes you feel like that.  You wont believe if I say that there are 5 cafe coffee days  within half kilometer and they are full always. People sit there and enjoy their chat, date, whatnot everything till the night loses its darkness.

I became quite observant these days about the basic elements that might make us unhappy and egoist. One of them that I am going to write down now is about misunderstanding. Sometimes we assume that something has happened because of somebody by just blindly and readily listening to our (intelligence) mind’s conclusion. This starts enmity with the other person virtually. We will have that in mind and we act accordingly with that person. This goes on and on ….and makes you unhappy and lead to vulnerable relationships. So before readily listening to your intelligence, if you just confirm that “why that has happened” you can avoid all the conflicts. So before assuming about any thing please confirm why something has happened before jumping in to conclusions. Misunderstanding is a result of your intelligence sometimes.

First time I am facing problem here and I could not able to put flow of my thoughts about this topic in to the blog. I will come back again in a different post to explain why we have to insult our intelligence :-)

Few days back I have written in my blog that my connection with flights is unfortunate. Laptop is one more which falls under this category. Its ironic that the things that I want to acquire fast will move far away from me. I guess god denies access to us until time comes. I have a long time fantasy about owning a laptop and do some innovative things which makes me happy (at least for some time). First obvious thing is to expect from the company. I waited…waited..waited..but no way, I did not get one. Failed so many times to get one from my manager. My room mate makes so much fun of me that other people (non techies) who are working in my company is getting laptop and much more benefits like trips, gifts like ipod -touch etc. But I dont have any. Sometimes he expresses doubts whether am I really a techie guy. Some questions are answered in silence sometimes. So now i thought of deciding to buy for myself. I have told my relatives abroad and they assured me that they will bring. But fate f***s me always and i could not get again. I am almost trying since one year and my efforts are fruit less. There is one final option that go to an Indian store and buy. But my relative and some close friends put me in dilemma saying that “for the same price, u can get better configuration in US”. Halted for a while and waiting to grab the moment that makes me spend time with laptop. Yesterday my hr friend told me that she got one laptop. I was embarrassed again as usual. Waiting for my room mate to make fun again.  Friends…listening…… bring me one if you are coming from US.  Mr.manager, give me one if ur reading this.  Hope my useless misery ends soon.
