No matter what a person opinion about the things like god, etc every human will fall in to some belief trap. In TOI today, I have read about an interview with a Hollywood heroine. She told that she will follow some superstitious things. Like when she leaves for work, the door should close by the time she gets down from the steps. If that does not happen she feels that the day is not going to be great. I guess every person will have some stupid beliefs like this. This reminds of my stupid beliefs. During my school days, if my first day of the examination went well, I used to write all the examinations with the same pen. If somebody asks that pen, I used to fear that they might lose it and tried to avoid giving it to anybody. If my first day was not good, I used to change the pen immediately. One more thing I used to take the same pad everytime for all my exams. It was a sentiment that If it was with me my examinations will be successful. Those things were when I am in school. Now there is nothing of that sort. But I can say these stupid things change along with your age. When I am in college I used to have a peculiar belief. No doubt its absolutely stupid. Everyday while I am leaving for my college, an young lady also joins me. We dont know each other but I had a crush on her. So during exams If I dont see her in the bus stop I used to feel “today the exam is going to be tough”. If I see her like any other day, I am very confident that I can crack the exam today.
I had these beliefs only for examination but not for anything as long as I remember. Currently I dont have even one. As the time passes and our mind matures, we can actually realize that those things are not things at all and they wouldn’t matter at all. That might be the reason now I am left with null beliefs. The point here is being aware that those things are stupid, we still tend to do them and unable to come out of those beliefs which is simply stupid

Philosophy [3] Comments
On the other day, I was reading sunday TOI as I do every week end and came across an interesting article in LIFE. Life is a supplement which comes on every sunday. It portrays philosophy in a decent way. If you are really philosophical or spiritual, I suggest you to go through it. Coming to the point…………….The article I was talking about gave a beautiful line which made me write this blog. The line goes like this …”The state of anticipation gives you more happiness than actual realization” Is it not true???
I am very fond of boarding a flight and I want just experience it once. I am more happy dreaming about it before its actually realized. But once I boarded once and was very happy ofcourse. From then onward the thought of it completely vanished and it was not there at all. But compared to the actual realization, anticipating that thing made me more happy. So the anticipation can be anything…..be it a crush on a pretty girl, be it a desire to climb ur job ladder, be you owning a car, getting married………………Another example is that I am very fond of learning and driving car. I would actually enjoy If I see somebody driving a swanky car on the road. I am so happy that I wish that I love to do on some day. But recently I have learned car driving and drove one of my frds car. The happiness which was before has gone. I am just ignoring whatever car I see on the road. In some sense its sometimes good if you are out of something than in it. In fact, the anxiety and curiosity that makes you very happy. When the thing is actually realised, the joy is actually disappeared. So be aware of the things that are making you feel happy. So dont get upset if you dont get what you anticipate. The ultimate happiness is in anticipation. Did you not experience this? I say, the happiness is in actual journey not in reaching or accomplishing goal. I am not contradicting anything here. If you desire for anything, its not wrong at all. But in case if you dont get it, just enjoy the thought of anticipation. Sounding stupid…..ignore it…I was expressing my comments on that article which are factually real. I may not express the real sense due to my poor expressive skills. But readers….you are smart , you might have got the essence.

The other day I am watching test cricket between India and Australia, I was totally upset with the things which made India lose match. The so called ” World Champions” showed their all kinds of gimmicks, mind games and grabbed the win. The decisions of umpires was an added advantage for them. I dont understand their motto against complaining about bhajji to referee. He is just a fellow player and verbal exchange of words are just common in a sport of cricket. Both said something to each other, how can he complain just like a small children. I was at total disappointment after hearing this. If we discuss the facts it was Australians who will resort to such kinds of nonsense than any other team in the world. If you have something just leave at the ground, why do you want take it to a higher level? Hayden added to it saying “We got a strong case against them”. This is sounding bullshit. Be silent or resolve between you. This is not good kangaroos……………….
I was observing in the last day of the test that every ball which is not picked up by bat is a claim by Australians, especially symonds. I dont know what they have thought in the dressing room. It was excessive claiming. If India does it a complaint could have been registered at ICC. Clarke who gave a clean catch to Dravid is still waiting for the Umpires decision. Mr.Clarke what are you waiting for? This is called catch you have to walk!!! Ricky ponting who nicked the ball is looking surprisingly against umpire. Kangaroos…you are great actors also. When there almost 6 to 7 men around dravid the ball just touched pads and went to the hands of the fielder behind, which was again a louder claim to umpire. Umpire just gave it. Poor dravid walked away . Ricky who landed the catch on to ground is claiming and was showing a feeling of shock on his face when umpire turned off to it. Mr. Ricky! you ended the catch on the ground. Dont get suprised…its not even touched Dhoni’s bat. So many incidents like this….its just one match which opened the real truth of champions which is hiding behind.
I dont understand is this professionalism????. I dont know what happens when somebody becomes professionals. Their mind will think in the most odd way. Be professional even when you lose or gain. Professionalism is related to the attitude of a person not to his achievement. Professionals……Please act in the professional way.

Another year entered in to its execution on the platform called life. Old year left leaving behind so many bad, good and sweet memories that lasts for ever. What more can we do other than acting according to time. In the same way I have celebrated new year and gave a warm welcome in to this world just as all. Its just a habit to rethink about the old year before entering in to the dawn of another year. The year that passed away gave me a job to survive and to gave an opportunity to apply my knowledge which keeps on updating since childhood. Left IIT which gave me a beautiful life that can remain in my memory for the rest of my life. Though bad memories still chase us its good to remember good ones for once to thrive. Important thing is that every year we have been encountering new friends and departed from old friends. We have been accumulating like this since our birth. It is also an great experience, in this way we tend to meet so many people with different ideas, tastes, interests, opinions and we are exposed to so many unknown things in the world. So many events happen in our life whether good or bad but we should be in a position to accept everything rather preparing mindset to refuse something. The quality of mind which is in a position to accept everything as it is that happens in life is mandatory for every human being. Those events will happen even if you are present or absent in this world. You are just an witness and actor to the happening events. So I discourage people refusing things that happen in life. Hmm…little bit philosophy ……….If you are prepared with this mind set every year which comes and goes will leave you a different experience. Setting mind for some goals is important but preparing mind for anything is equally important. So set your goals, resolutions and rock this new year.
Have a great days ahead. Happy New Year-2008.
